NOTES: A school and research centre set up by the furniture designer Jonathan Makepeace to explore uses of timber thinnings from forestry management. With advice from Frei Otto and Buro Happold, Richard Burton was approach for the commission. The centre comprises a workshop and staff house all built using thinnings from the surrounding forest.
