NOTES: The design features vignettes of Salisbury Cathedral, Laon Cathedral, Bamberg Cathedral and the Basilica of San Marco, Venice. The decorative border includes illustrations of Medieval architects, masons and sculptors at work.

NOTES: The city of Brasilia was planned and developed in 1956 with Lucio Costa as chief urban planner and Oscar Niemeyer as principal architect. It formally became the capital of Brazil in 1960 and is the seat of all three branches of the Brazilian government. The National Congress buildings completed in 1958, comprise the Federal Senate, the Chamber of Deputies and the administrative twin Towers of Congress.

NOTES: The QE2 was the flagship transatlantic liner for the Cunard Line from her launch in September 1969 until succeeded by the RMS Queen Mary 2 in 2004. James Gardner and Dennis Lennon were joint design co-ordinators for the liner. Lennon co-ordinated the group of interior designers while Gardner was responsible for the exterior styling and trim of the ship

NOTES: This girder bridge crosses the Thames between Blackfriars Bridge and Hungerford Bridge.
