NOTES: The two monolithic granite columns were brought to Venice from the East and erected at the water's edge in the Piazzetta San Marco in the 12th century.
NOTES: This was part of the subway of the demolished Crystal Palace High Level Station (closed 1954). The subway was listed in 1972 and in 2013 it was opened to the public as part of the annual Open House.
NOTES: Tower Bridge is 1894 by Sir William Tite and Sir John Wolfe Barry. HMS Belfast was built by Harland & Wolff in 1936, and was brought into service during World War II. It is now a museum.
