NOTES: This drawing is numbered XI/11 recto in the Burlington-Devonshire Collection. Originally built around 497 BC, the Temple of Saturn in the Roman Forum depicted here would reflect the rebuilding following a fire in 360. The drawing is a study for the plate in Palladio's Quattro libri dell'architettura (Venice, 1570), Libro IV, f.126.
