NOTES: Giovanni Battista Massazza was recorded as a woodworker who in 1735 received a contract to execute Filippo Juvarra's design for a funeral monument for the Princess Polizena of Hesse in Turin cathedral. This drawing is in the style of Juvarra.
NOTES: This composition, by an artist of the School of Bibiena, may have been drawn by a non-Italian or possibly by an Italian artist working in Germany in about 1750. It appears to derive from Giuseppe Bibiena's designs and possibly quotes in part from a stage design engraved as plate 7 in Part I of his 'Architettura e Prospettive' (1740), as well as from his designs for imaginary piazzas.
