Stafford District General Hospital, Weston Road, Stafford, Staffordshire: the waiting space adjoining the main entrance

NOTES: This hospital, commissioned in 1971, and the one at Dudley were the only two hospitals to be built using the Harness design method developed by the DHSS. This method of prefabrication adopted a 15 x 15 metre planning module arranged in chequerboard layout to form departments.
