NOTES: John Vardy's design indicates enlargements to be made to the Royal Mews at Charing Cross, which had previously been designed by his close associate William Kent in 1731-1733. The Mews were demolished in 1830 to make way for the construction of Trafalgar Square.
NOTES: These designs probably relate to the relocation of George III's royal mews from Charing Cross in London to a site beside Buckingham Palace (then known as The Queen's House).
