NOTES: This image is from an album of postcards of views of Rome, entitled 'Roma', probably dating from the late 1890s or early 1900s. Trajan's Column was dedicated in 113. Construction on the Renaissance church of Santa Maria di Loreto began in 1507 led by Antonio Sangallo the Younger. It was completed by Giacomo del Duca in 1582 with the addition of the drum, dome, and the unusual lantern. The Baroque church of Santissimo Nome di Maria was built by Antoine Derizet between 1736 and 1741.
