Power stations

NOTES: Constructed downstream of the existing Kincardine power station on reclaimed land from the Firth of Forth, this coal-fired power station began generating electricity in 1970 and was fully commissioned in 1973.

NOTES: The first phase was completed in 1933. The second two chimneystacks were added between 1944 and 1955.

NOTES: Two coal-fired power stations, Willington A and B, were built on this site by the River Trent during the 1950s. Station A closed in 1995 and B in 1999 when everything except the cooling towers was demolished.

NOTES: The Wheeler Dam is part of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
