NOTES: This opera and ballet theatre was constructed between 1825-1833 to the designs of Corazzi. Bombed during World War II, only the original Classical facade survived. The theatre was reconstructed and expanded after the war to designs by Pniewski, reopening in 1965.
NOTES: Colloquially described as the Giant Egg, the building is covered by a glass and titanium ellipsoid roof surrounded by an artificial lake. It is an arts centre which houses three halls including an opera house.
