NOTES: The New Synagogue was originally designed by Eduard Knoblauch and completed in 1866. It was attacked during the Nazi's Kristallnacht in 1938 and further damaged by allied bombing in the Second World War. Bernhard Leisering led the restoration which was completed in 1995.
