NOTES: Constructed as the venue for the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, this complex was demolished in 1998 during the construction of the Millennium Stadium. It was replaced by the Cardiff International Pool which opened in 2008.

NOTES: This drawing appears to have served as the basis for plate 6 in Wyatt's Specimens of the geometrical mosaic of the middle ages (London, 1848). The book was based on papers Wyatt had read at the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Royal Academy of Arts and the Archaeological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland, so this drawing perhaps was one that was used on those occasions.
