NOTES: James Lomax-Simpson joined Lever Brothers in 1910 as company architect. Unilever House, originally called Lever House, was designed by Lomax-Simpson in conjunction with Sir John Burnet Tait & Partners and built 1930-1932.
NOTES: Zeeta Company Limited was created in 1919 by a group of directors of John Barker & Company department store, Kensington, London. It was a bakery and confectionery business and was used as a local means of distribution for cake shops and restaurants.
NOTES: William Henry White & Sons were responsible for the design of the restaurant which was completed in 1931. The French decorators Marc-Henri & Laverdet redecorated the interiors in a more flamboyant style in 1933.
