NOTES: The Priory, which dates from the 13th century, was refurbished and restored by the architects Seely & Paget, when in 1959 the south wing of The Priory was demolished and they built the new public library on the site (1961). The Bromley Museum opened in the restored Priory in 1965.

NOTES: Berkeley Square House was built in 1938 by Gordon Jeeves and Hector O. Hamilton and was considered Europe's largest office block and one of London's first major reinforced concrete buildings. By the late 1970s it was in need of refurbisment and was given a -ú20 million facelift by Scott Browrigg & Turner.
