NOTES: The building was designed by Michael Rosenauer with Hugh Casson and Misha Black amongst others, responsible for the interiors. The cafeteria was designed by Casson with Neville Conder and Patience Gifford as joint designers, assisted by Robin Dunn. The drawings by Oliver Cox were photographic enlargements from originals, which were then bonded into plastic panels.

NOTES: When designed in 1950, the South Africa Travel Bureau was considered a landmark in post-war architecture, being the first 'modern shop' in London and a design of great elegance and sophistication.
NOTES: The canopy incorporates six small dome lights and has recessed tungsten light fittings (just seen). The edge of the canopy is faced in white glass, the soffit is lined with tongue and groove boarding, painted white and the columns are fair faced concrete.
