NOTES: This was a conversion of a nineteenth century malthouse, which had been badly damaged by fire in 1956. After the fire the buildings and site were bought by Oxford University for conversion to offices and workshops, the work being undertaken by the Surveyor to the University, J. Lankester.

NOTES: Spectrum 7 is a high-technology, office/production building, which won a limited competition in 1987 for a site in the Milton Keynes Energy Park. It was designed to be low in energy consumption with the roof acting as sun shield and admit useful daylight to offset consumption in lighting and cooling systems.
