NOTES: Built in 1901-1903 for Mary, wife of the 11th Duke of Bedford, this facility provided care for 12 patients from Woburn and the surrounding parishes. The hospital closed in c.1938 and the Duke reopened it in 1939 as a private nursing home, renamed Marylands. It was purchased by Bedfordshire County Council in 1967 and has since been used an adult education centre.
