NOTES: The 13th century Cloth Hall (Lakenhalle) was destroyed during the First World War and reconstructed between 1933 and 1967. St Martin's Church used to be Ypres' cathedral and originally dates from the 13th and 14th centuries. It was also heavily bombed during the war and subsequently rebuilt.
NOTES: Designed by William Hill of Leeds in 1886-1890, the Guildhall was completed after his death by his son William L. Hill and C. W. Bevis of Southsea. Badly damaged by bombing in World War II, it was reconstructed by Berry Webber between 1952-1959.
