NOTES: This was built as the headquarters of the Swedish Cooperative Wholesale Society (KF). The Katarinahissen connects differing street levels and contains a restaurant with extensive views.
NOTES: The QE2 was the flagship transatlantic liner for the Cunard Line from her launch in September 1969 until succeeded by the RMS Queen Mary 2 in 2004. James Gardner and Dennis Lennon were joint design co-ordinators for the liner. Lennon co-ordinated the group of interior designers while Gardner was responsible for the exterior styling and trim of the ship.
NOTES: The restaurant was built in 1934 but a year later the space between the two arms of the building was turned into another restaurant with a glass roof.
NOTES: The Bride of Denmark was created in 1947 in the basement of the offices of the Architectural Press (publishers of the Architects' Journal and the Architectural Review) from salvaged elements of pubs damaged during the war or rejected by brewery owners.
