NOTES: Built for the 1934 Empire Games, this was the largest covered swimming pool in the world on completion. The pool was capable of being decked over to take an ice skating rink and also a tournament arena. The pool itself was last used for the 1948 Summer Olympics, after which the building has been used for entertainment and known simply as Wembley Arena. NOTES: An installation by the artist Edwin Wurm, it was iinstalled on the Square Claude Erignac in Le Havre, in 2010. In 2022 it was opened to the public. The structure is a reinterpretation of Wurm’s childhood home, a typical suburban abode from the 1960s, surrounded by a wooded, landscaped garden in Le Havre that gives the impression of a residential neighbourhood.
