NOTES: Alberobello gained World Heritage status in 1996 because of its concentration of trulli, drywall stone dwellings or storehouses.

NOTES: This open-air museum, founded in 1909, is located on the island in the western part of Helsinki harbour. Old farm and village buildings from many parts of Finland have been brought together and re-erected there.

NOTES: This open-air museum, one of the world's first, was established by Artur Hazelius (1833-1901) and opened in 1891. Historical buildings (homes, farms, windmills, a school and a church) from nearly every part of Sweden have been acquired and re-erected on the site. This storehouse comes from the farm of Vastveit in Telemark in Norway and is one of the oldest buildings at Skansen, being erected in the 14th century and rebuilt in the 18th. It is the only building at Skansen that is not of Swedish origin and was acquired by Hazelius before Sweden ended its union with Norway in 1905.

NOTES: The church of this Augustinian priory, built between 1180 and 1230, was one of the great medieval buildings of Wales. The buildings fell into decay after the priory waas dissolved in 1538.
