NOTES: Alfred's Hall was designed as an artificial ruin by the first Earl of Bathurst, possibly in collaboration with the poet Alexander Pope, who was a frequent visitor. It was built to commemorate King Alfred's alleged overhearing of the Danish battle plans and is one of the many attractions in the 3000 acre park laid out by the Earl from 1714.

NOTES: Theo Jones (Bartlett School, UCL) was the Student winner of the RIBA Journal Eyeline Competition, 2019. He presented two born digital designs for a fantasy piece of architecture - a home of diplomatic containment for Julian Assange, Australian editor, publisher, and activist, who spent nearly seven years in political asylum within the Embassy of Ecuador in London from 2012 to 2019. Jones explains the idea behind his fantasy design for a fold-out home hidden within a diplomat's jacket: "From leaked documents, it has been established that Ecuador considered transporting Assange in a diplomatic bag. For a time, the Met Police even scanned objects exiting the embassy for heat signatures." The drawings are laser prints from born digital drawings, Photoshop & Illustrator on paper.
