Eric de Maré: By the Seaside

Given The Architectural Review’s interest in the ‘nautical style’, leading with John Piper’s survey (The Architectural Review: 'The Nautical Style', January 1938) it was no surprise that Eric de Maré turned his lens towards this subject resulting in the 1973 publication, 'The Nautical Style: an Aspect of the Functional Tradition'.
