NOTES: This stone 12-arched bridge, which connects the Rive Gauche and the Rive Droite with the Ile de la Cite, was begun in 1578 and was inaugurated in 1607.

NOTES: This is a closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge.

NOTES: The bridge was designed by engineer J. C. C.Bradfield, with consulting engineer Sir Ralph Freeman and consulting architects Sir John Burnet & Partners.

NOTES: This bridge was designed by Thomas Farnolls Pritchard in 1775 and executed by Abraham Darby III in Coalbrookedale in 1777-1779. It was the first arch bridge of completely iron construction in the world.

NOTES: The bridge is late 12th century; the chapel is 16th century.

NOTES: The bridge is also known as Ponte Milvio. The watch towers were added in the 15th century.

NOTES: This cantilever railway bridge crosses the Firth of the Forth connecting the city of Edinburgh at Queensferry to Fife.

NOTES; The bridge was built to ferry people and horses across the Usk to the Orb Steelworks on the East side and still allow high sail ships to pass under it. The span of this bridge is example of the rare transporter bridge concept of which only another eight exist in the world. The bridge is Grade I listed.

NOTES: This is one of the images taken for 'Manplan 8: Housing' in Architectural Review, vol. 148, 1970 Sep. The Yorkshire Development Group was set up in 1962 to serve the housing needs of Leeds, Sheffield, Hull and Nottingham. Martin Richardson was the development architect for the group which developed a range of deck access dwelling plans and a medium-rise high-density concrete housing system.
