NOTES: Built for Cardinal Ricci de Montepulciano in 1564-1574 by Nanni di Baccio Bigio and Annibale Lippi, this villa was enlarged for Cardinal Ferdinando de' Medici in 1587 by Bartolommeo Ammannati. It has been the seat of the French Academy since 1803.
