NOTES: The Holburne Museum of Art was originally built as the Sydney Hotel (later becoming Sydney College). It was designed 1796 by Charles Harcourt Masters, but was converted by Blomfield for use as an art gallery between 1913 and 1916.

NOTES: Henly's, a car showroom for Studebaker and Jaguar cars, opened on the east side of the Smith's Crisps factory in 1937 and later became a warehouse for Martini. After a fire in 1989, it was redeveloped into offices and the distinctive tower was retained.

NOTES: These buildings, together with Flatford Mill, Valley Farm and Willy Lott's House, the location for the pastoral paintings of John Constable, were the property of the National Trust and Sissons was appointed architect for their adaptation into a Field Studies Centre in 1949.

NOTES: This branch of the Chartered Bank was the first bank to open in Kuala Lumpur, in 1888.. It moved its premises to this site in 1891 but the original building proved to be inadequate and had to be replaced by this three-storey structure, attributed to A C Norman, in 1909. The building was renovated in 1996 and turned into the Natural History Museum.

La Martiniere Boys' College, Lucknow: the Constantia building

NOTES: The design of the country residence La Martinere, built in 1785-1802, is attributed to its owner, the French adventurer Major-General Claude Martin. The main building, Constantia, became home to this private boys' boarding and day school established posthumously in the 1800s and which opened in 1845.
