Competition entry number 1, Cotton Exchange, King William Street, Blackburn, Lancashire: elevation in Church Street

NOTES: Brakspear won the competition for the building. However the design constructed was gothic revival in style and not built until 1862-1865 and, even then, the complete design was not undertaken. Early in the twentieth century the building was converted into a cinema. It is listed Grade II.
