NOTES: This tetrastyle temple constructed in Pentelic marble is the best-known example of Amphiprostyle.

NOTES: The church, which is the cathedral of Rome, was rebuilt by Borromini in 1646-1649. The principal or east front was added by Galilei in 1734-1736.

NOTES: The cathedral was built between 1089 and 1499. It was extensively restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott between 1873 and 1890, and in 1897. This is the 11th century nave.

NOTES: Work on the construction of the church commenced in 1901 and was completed in 1907.
