NOTES: This perspective for the remodelling of the house in the castle style was left unfinished on the death of Joseph Bonomi. It appears to have been completed by his son Ignatius and exhibited in the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in 1809 as by 'J. Bonomi' (no. 748).
NOTES: Cundy's designs for the remodelling of Stanley Hall were rejected by the client who engaged a local architect, John Smalman, to carry out the work. This drawing is from a small sketchbook serving as a record of work by Thomas Cundy between 1795 and 1820 apparently made by his son, Thomas Cundy junior, who worked in his practice and took over the practice at his father's death.
