NOTES: This compression arch suspended-deck bridge links Newcastle-upon-Tyne with Gateshead on the south bank of the River Tyne. It was designed by the engineers Mott Hay & Anderson while Robert Burns Dick was responsible for the design of the piers.
NOTES: This stone 12-arched bridge, which connects the Rive Gauche and the Rive Droite with the Ile de la Cite, was begun in 1578 and was inaugurated in 1607.
