NOTES: The Internationale Bauausstellung Berlin (IBA) dates back to 1957 and the reconstruction of post-war Berlin, when leading international architects of the modern movement were invited to design new housing blocks in the Hansa district of Berlin. Its purpose was to show the best and latest thinking in architecture and planning.
