NOTES: Ralph Downes built the organ and Leslie Martin was responsible for the decorative arrangement of pipes at the front. Its installation was not completed until 1955.

NOTES; This theatre was extensively restored in 2001-2004.

Weedon, Harry William (1887-1970)
NOTES: This cinema was modernised in 1964-1965 and was designated Grade II listed status in 1994. It closed as a cinema in 1998 and after a period of disuse became an entertainment venue.

Regal Cinema, 132 Ferensway, Hull: the auditorium seen from stalls left

Cromie, Robert (1887-1971)
NOTES: This cinema was acquired by Associated British Cinemas (ABC) in 1937. The lavishly decorated auditorium was lost when it was rebuilt as five smaller cinemas in 1959. It closed definitively as a cinema in 1989 and was demolished in 2004 to make way for the St Stephen's development.
