NOTES: Betjeman and Brandon-Jones were both members of the Art Workers' Guild, hence the 'Brother' Brandon-Jones. In addition to the exhibition Brandon-Jones had just had a memoir of Voysey published in the AA Journal.

This portrait was commissioned by the City of London School Committee and presented to the sitter "in appreciation of his services as Chairman during 1914 and 1915". It was exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in 1917 and bequeathed to the RIBA by the sitter in 1953.
