NOTES: Betjeman and Brandon-Jones were both members of the Art Workers' Guild, hence the 'Brother' Brandon-Jones. In addition to the exhibition Brandon-Jones had just had a memoir of Voysey published in the AA Journal.
NOTES: Sir Banister Fletcher was President of the RIBA in 1929-1931. Fletcher is shown wearing his robes as Sheriff of London, an office he filled in 1919, the year he was knighted.
NOTES: Sir Banister Fletcher was President of the RIBA in 1929-1931. This portrait was commissioned by the City of London School Committee and presented to the sitter "in appreciation of his services as Chairman during 1914 and 1915". It was exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in 1917 and bequeathed to the RIBA by the sitter in 1953.
