About Us

Welcome to RIBApix

RIBApix is a stunning visual archive of well over 100,000 digital images brought to you from the magnificent collections of the British Architectural Library. All of the images on our site can be licensed or purchased. Low resolution images can be downloaded for non-commercial private study or research by registered users.

With many new items being added each week, there is always something new to see. Why not bookmark our site and make RIBApix your first port of call for architectural images?

Scope

Spanning thousands of years of the world’s built heritage, the content ranges from ancient monuments and primitive rock dwellings to hotels, shops, factories, civic buildings and social housing. From everyday street scenes through to some of the world’s most iconic buildings, structures of every type and style feature in the collections, which are as much social documentation as architectural history. Allied subjects such as interior design, landscape, topography, planning construction and the decorative arts are also well-represented.

The work of thousands of architects, engineers, artists and designers from across the globe is featured, along with that of some of the world’s leading photographers, including John Maltby, Edwin Smith, Henk Snoek, John Donat, Dell & Wainwright, Martin Charles and Tony Ray-Jones. And if you’re looking for portraits of the architects, or people connected with architecture, then we can help with that too.
