Whitley Abbey School, Abbey Road, Coventry

NOTES: This school was designed by Coventry City Architects & Planning Department in collaboration with the Architects and Building Branch of the Ministry of Education and the Bristol Aeroplane Company who designed the Mark II system of prefabricated construction, sucessor to the Mark I and Mark IA developed by the same company. The Mark II system was aimed at multi-storey secondary schools seen here at Whitley Abbey. The pre-stressed concrete bridge in the foreground is by Alan Harris.
