NOTES: This effigy of Eleanor of Castile (c. 1241-1290), queen to Edward I, was cast by the goldsmith and bronze-caster, William Torel, in 1291. The tomb slab and pillows beneath her head are covered with the emblems of Castile and Leon (castles and lions).
