NOTES: In 1935 McMorran won a competition for the design of municipal offices and a clinic on the site of the old prison in York. The foundations and basement for the whole scheme were constructed but the war intervened at this point and the project was abandoned. This drawing is a resubmitted proposal after the war but the project was never revived.
