NOTES: These warehouses with its lighthouse and signal station at the corner were designed for the storage and delivery of cocoa. Designs were first published in 1922 and again in the journals in 1930. There it is noted that the scheme was abandoned because engineering difficulties meant the necessary breakwaters for sheltering the embarkation beaches could not be constructed.
