NOTES: The department store was as a result of a competition held in 1916. It was built in two phases, four stories were built in the mid-1920s and the building reached its full height of eight stories in 1930. The building was later extended in 1989 by Gullichsen Kairamo Vormala architects, who retained the street side facades of the earlier 1897 building and added a glazed extension.
