NOTES: The Southfields Industrial Estate was planned to have three blocks of advance factory units. The first phase seen here was designed as a 'superblock' in which the sheds are bent into a large figure of eight shape, thus creating two internal courtyards, one functioning as a turning circle and the other for loading.
