NOTES: This museum occupies the former home and printing works of the printers Christopher Plantin (1514-1589) and his successor Balthasar Moretus. Plantin's most famous work was the Biblia Polyglotta, an edition of the bible in Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Chaldean and Syriac. Moretus was a friend of Rubens, who designed ilustrations and title pages for many of his books. It opened as a museum in 1877.
