NOTES: Mounton House was architectural historian and garden designer H. Avray Tipping's home from 1912 to 1922 although he had been developing a garden below the site of the house since the turn of the century. The house was designed by Eric Francis (who later designed High Glanau Manor for Tipping) with input from the client.
