NOTES: The Mark V was designed by ARCON for the Ministry of Works and was one of the most common of the prefabricated house-types erected as emergency housing after World War II. Manufactured by Taylor Woodrow, 41,000 examples of these tubular steel-framed structures with corrugated asbestos cement cladding were erected between 1945 and 1948.
