NOTES: This photograph is one of a number of Indian portraits collected by Dame Jane Drew. During the 1950s Drew, her husband Maxwell Fry and Pierre Jeanneret worked alongside Le Corbusier on the project to build Chandigarh, the new capital city of the state of Punjab.
