NOTES: This sketch was probably made between 1825 and 1828 and it was formerly part of an album of drawings entitled 'Ichnographia Publica', compiled by Cockerell as a private 'scrapbook' containing his measured drawings, notes and studies relating to the architecture of public buildings. A number of these were intended as preliminary sketches for Cockerell's composition 'A Tribute to Sir Christopher Wren' (1838).
