Extension of St Benedict's Abbey, Vaals: the upper gallery of the atrium

NOTES: Dom Hans van der Laan, Benedictine monk and architect, was commissioned in 1956 to complete the construction work on the abbey that had begun in 1927. The adding of the church, the library, a sacristy and an open arcade around a new cloister took until 1986 to complete.
