Designs for the clock tower, Houses of Parliament, Palace of Westminster, London: elevations of east side of clock tower with spiky Gothic style turret above clock storey
|Architect/Designer||Barry, Sir Charles (1795-1860)|
|Subject||Decorative stonework ; Clock towers ; Parliament buildings|
NOTES: These drawings are developments of Barry's original 1836 competition design. It is not known what happened to the drawings with which Barry won the competition. These drawings, presented in 1938 by Caryl Arthur Ransome Barry (BarryÔÇÖs great-grandson), would appear to be those kept by the family to prove Barry's authorship of the design in the dispute between his heirs and those of A. W. N. Pugin.
