NOTES: The Sidney Street Estate was built by the St. Pancras Housing Association and was designed by the Association's architect Ian Hamilton, who worked with the sculptor Gilbert Bayes on the colourful ceramic decorative features of the estate. The design was exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in 1937 (no. 1276, 'Proposed reconstruction of the Sidney Street Estate, St Pancras').
