NOTES: This large gated quadrangle comprises most of the remaining precincts of the former monastery of Westminster. It is known by members of Westminster School as 'Green' and it is where the pupils have a legal right to play football. The buildings, dating from the 14th century onwards, are occupied by Westminster School, Westminster Abbey Choir School and include Church House, headquarters of the Church of England.
