NOTES: The original convent and church was built between 1548-1591. It was badly damaged by storms and hurricanes during the 17th century and was subsequently rebuilt in its present form 1719-1738. The church was restored and converted into a museum of sacred art and a concert hall between 1990-1998. See RIBA146406 for a black and white version of this image.
